Recently I was lucky enough to try out for a concept artist position at Telltale Games by doing an art test. The test was for a character and an environment. Here’s what I ended up with.
That’s what I originally sent off and unfortunately was passed on. But I thought I’d go ahead and work a little more on the environment. Originally I had something else in mind for the environment color but thought it would be overboard and too dark based on the original cartoonish concept art I was looking at for reference. Well anyway, I came through and added a little bit of this stuff to see if I could get closer to what I had in my head.
